Challenge #9

Challenge #9 was supposed to be ay Grace Bennett Designs. For reasons I'm still not sure about, Grace has not been able to respond to any of my e-mails in the last few days. So, at this time, I'm going to temporarily suspend Grace's challenge and we'll host another one at NDISB.

Your challenge 9 is to scrap an altered art page. It can be about anything you want. You choose the subject, you choose the products. The only requirement is that it be in the altered art style. Here are some examples to get you started:

I have to say, that this is a style I'm still trying to figure out for myself, so do the best you can and I can't wait to see what you come up with!!

The NDISB CT is hard at work on a last-minute assignment. The prize for this challenge will be a set of quick pages from the Road Less Traveled mega kit to coordinate with your challenge #8 prize.

I want to offer my sincere apologies for this being so late. I was really hoping to hear from Grace before i posted this, but have not been able to reach her. I feel like we've had more than our share of mishaps this season of the ADSR and you've all been so fabulous about it. I want to thank you all very much for all your kind words of support. It means more to us than you realize.

You've done so well, Theresa! I'm very happy to be part of the race. Things happened at times, especially when we're working with people. Nobody's perfect. Sometimes it might happen on our part, i.e. we're sick or etc and it might affect other people that we're working with. Well, that's human :)

Thank you so much for all that you've done for the race and for use. You and your team are the best!!

Chin up! Most of us realize the race is for FUN - to stretch our abilities and pickup great prizes along the way. I'm thankful that you have organized this and we are part of it! Blessings to you!
(Now to go figure out altered art... LOL)

Don't worry about it, you're doing a great job!

Theresa...no worries, these things happen. This has been the best race so far and I am having a blast and REALLY being stretched. Keep up the great job and I hope this season doesn't deter you from another one :-) I look forward to them. You all at NDISB are tops in my book...

Unfortunately these things happen and we all know that computers act up and life just gets in the way. Thank you for all you've done to make things run smoothly. This is my first race and I'm so happy to be a part of it and to be getting pages done. No worries...you and your team are handling things in a professional manner.

Well, this is surely going to be a fun and interesting challenge - with the emphasis on challenge, as I've never done an altered art layout before! WooHoo!

Theresa, you, Ernie, and the rest of the behind-the-scenes ADSR3 crew have done a great job of smoothing over the bumps in our race road. Life happens, and your detours around the potholes have been wonderful.

For all you do, will do, and have done, thank you. It's been a blast taking part in the ADSR, stretching my digi scrapping wings, and peering into my own soul a bit more closely. Now it's off to ponder #9!

Peace.

I think that you have handled everything beautifully. We are all inperfect and sometimes things in life happen that were not planned. I have been having a lot of fun and very happy to be part of the race.

Im on Grace's CT and I know she's been AFK due to a minor injury.
Im just sorry she couldn't do her challenge as Im sure she had a great one planned.

I hope you all dont hold it against Grace, she really is a wonderful woman---but like I said is afk due to her injury.

Thanks for giving us a new challenge Theresa---not sure I know exactly what an altered art state of mind layout is exactly, but will try my best :D

I'm a little lost about the altered art style... I've googled it and basically, what I've found look like Hybrid projects, but the examples that you showed weren't really like that. Can anyone point me in the right direction about what altered art style means?

Mikkel Paige said...

Wallychick, I completely agree with you! Altered art, I thought, was more of a hybrid thing and the examples don't reflect that.

Theresa, Tangie Baxter has an ATC template on the CT blog that is free if people want to use it. Here is the link:

I am so lost on this style. It doesn't quite make sense. Does it have to be with an old time photo like that? Is there a way to make that look with your own photo's?

well I am SO happy to be part of it, that I can t blame you for anything...

well, maybe ... for my "waiting laundry..."
your are the best!
