Challenge 3

I apologize for the prize issue on this. I was contacted late into the planning regarding their dilemma with not having downloadable files. Let me see what can be done about this. If nothing, then this will become an optional challenge and will not be required to continue on. I sincerely apologize for this.

I am happy to pay the $5 for the prize. It's an amazing bargain and the stuff looks great! I can't wait to get it!

I don't mind doing the challenge...it sounds like a challenge...but I am not thrilled with having to pay for a prize...I thought a prize was free!!! Just my 2 cents.

I wonder if the sponsor will ship overseas??? Not all of your participants are in mainland North America.

I liked the suggestion that April load the CD up on 4squared, with a password so only we racers could get it. Seems like a good compromise, especially if the CD was made specially for the Race.
But either way I plan to do the challenge, it's a good one!

yes, i wonder if the sponsor will ship the CD overseas.. i would love to get my hands on it. :)

Me too. But having to pay for the prize doesn't sound good to me. Even if they do ship overseas, shipping itself would cost more than the prize!

I was not going to write about how disappointed I was in this challenge, but since others have I may as well add my 2 cents worth. Below is a 'nice' version of what I emailed to my partner:

"This is a race around the WORLD – not just America. No I don’t want to send them $5 to post a CD to me (no doubt they wld have a heart attack when they figured out it wld cost them more that $5USD in postage anyway to send it overseas to me) AND what wld I do with the nights free accommodation in wherever UT is in the United States – IF I happened to win that?

There is a world beyond the US!

I’ll get down off my soap box now!"

well girls.
ok that might not be as great as it could be, and we might not get any prize on this challenge.
But we are also racing for the fun of it, isn't it'
we are not only doing this for prizes?

let say that this one is not perfect, ok, we do it, and we move to next challenge.

cheers up, fun is what is coming tomorrow!!!

thanks a million to the one who spend a lot of time and energy organizing and leading this race for the fun of all of us)

OK girls here is my two cents. Digital Scrapbook Memories has GREAT products, really you can't beat them! And the people that own and run the company are the best around. I'm sorry that you are upset about the prize, but really we are in it for fun and no one should be treated rudely the way that some of you have treated the owners of this great company! It really saddens me the way things have played out with this challenge! It has really taken the fun out of it for me in so many ways.
For those of us that call DSM home, we have taken the attacks very personally and you have brought some of us to tears. If you can't appreciate the AMAZING prizes that have been offered to you, then just don't take advantage of them... and move on to the next challenge, but please keep your negitive thoughts to yourselves!

I agree. I'm honestly not in this for the prizes, those are just a bonus. I'm in this for the great challenges. The chance to scrap is always a great thing for me! I look forward to the challenges, and if I do get prizes, then I'm all over it. But it's not the reason I do this at all. :)
