According to our countdown clock posted in the left hand column.
Natural Designs would like to take a moment to thank all of the individuals that have joined together to make this the biggest ADSR yet! As of this moment, we officially have 223 teams registered, and Theresa may still have a few in her inbox that need to be addressed. If you've raced before, you have a pretty good idea of what to expect. If you haven't, you might be a little excited, you could be just a touch nervous, and you very likely are wondering exactly what it is that you've gotten yourself into!
This is where you race veterans come in. We would like to ask you to post a brief comment here (if you wish) about your first race experience here!
Oh, and you might want to check back in every day or so for the next few days... word on the street is that there may be a little surprise before the race kicks off!

I am so excited - a bit nervous as this is my & my partner's first time racing! I'll definitely be checking back to see what good advice is posted!
This is our first time also...Looking forward to any advice!!
This is our 4th time racing and I think the one lesson we have learnt is to try and make time to get the challenge done as soon after it is posted as possible. If you leave it until the end of the week you end up frantically trying to get both layouts done and uploaded in time. Its too easy to put it off and think you still have plenty of time. I'm really excited to get started it's a lot of fun. Hugs Crystal xx
I've only been in the race once before, so I don't really class myself as a veteran yet lol! But I found it exciting and hectic...I was dreading actually posting layouts...I've never been very fond of posting my scraps in public, but commments at NDISB were so kind and generous, I loved it! Some of the challenges really stretched me to do things I'd never tried before, and I probably learned more about my software during the contest than I had before...which was really valuable. I blame ADSR on getting me hooked on contests in general, but I haven't found anything yet that beats this race!!!!!
Last year was my first year and I loved it! My advice is to get each challenge done before the next one comes out. Having only 1 to worry about makes it less stressful. Also, remember this is supposed to be fun AND challenging.
I still look at my LOs from last year and grin. They forced me to scrap outside of my comfort zone, but I think they might be some of the best pages I've ever made.
It's our first race too. I'm looking forward to the challenges and the fun.
You will find that the layouts you make participating in the ADSR are some of the most fun, crazy, inspirational layouts you have ever done. Oh and I must not forget to warn you that there is always one challenge that becomes infamous!
Veterans may remember the banned layout or the the one where we had to use a ton of specific elements, a couple of alphas and a couple of papers. The nerve-wracking partof that particular challenge was was that every single item used in the layout had to be from a different designer OR you could only use one designer for everything.
As said already you will have a blast, make new friends, hook up with old friends and when the race is over you will find yourself wishing for the next one to start immediately.
This is going to be my second race. I LOVED the first one I participated in (season 3). It really got me hooked to digiscrapping. When I started the ADSR3, I knew close to nothing about digiscrapping. I learned so many new techniques because I had to in order to fulfill the challenges. And of course I had the greatest time! January 4 can't come fast enough for me :)
I agree with all the advice so far:) This will be my third race..and I am anxiously waiting for that first challenge!! lol I have learned a lot from all the challenges. And I am amazed at the awesome prizes! Just remember to have fun, but do NOT procrastinate!!
I learned heaps in ADSR 3, and even though I nearly died when it came to the challenge with a zillion different elements from half a zillion different designers, I felt really good about finishing it and it is still one of the digi LO's I am most proud of :) Bring it on!!
